12 hour format. I can tell the difference between 3 am and 3 pm without needing my watch to tell me

Grew up in a Marine Corps family, served in the Marines and now in law enforcement. It's all I know :)

I've used 24-hr time format since I joined the army... Went into the airforce in the early part of my career and it stuck... Now in aviation, it gets even more confusing with UTC timing and various timezones... 24-hr format is critical to me.

I'm in the - rather difficult - process of converting to 24 hr time. It's incredibly simple but, after 32 years of am/pm, it's hard to make yourself think in 24 hr time. I wouldn't bother but, if you think about it, 24 hr time makes perfect sense and 12 hr time makes very little sense.

I can tell the difference between 4p and 4A but I still prefer the 24hour format.
Going further it seems like analog watches should be one big sweep per 24 hours.
Kinda makes sense when you really think about it.
I can't recall the mfr but I know I've seen watches that have noon at the bottom (standard 6 o'clock position).

Nothing in my life is arranged in 24 hour format, except public transport times. I do sometimes get confused between am and pm... but that's usually a good sign.

Re: What time setting do you use for your G-shock?

I have tried 24 hr format, even bought a 24 hour analoge watch to help make the transition. But it just never sank in. In the private sector no one uses it and it is too hard to go against the grain, so I gave in and use am/pm.

    24hours because:

    - it's standard over here
    - it's logical too, since a day has 24 hours
