What would you pay for speculative G (previously known as WUSMAN)

    Hi all,

With AYAKO having picked up your input as a starting point for a design, we are considering production options. Thus we would be interested in getting your thoughts on the price range we should aim for. On beforehand we would like to assume some starting points:

    - AYAKO will come up with an incredible design
    - It will be a not for profit project with an open budget for everybody to see.

Share your price range in the poll and post your name plus major considerations if we can seriously include you on a potential list.

I am very exited seeing your responds!

Who is AYAKO? And what will the money be used for if it's for non profit?

AYAKO is a form member who offered to make a design.

On the money site I would like to refer to some accounting forums but in generally the money will be to mainly buy the hardware. But as we might have to cover indirect costs which we want to cover, we might end up with some "profit". In this case we would suggest that, the profit will be donated to some charity. WNF, WUS forum or BP. Other options are welcome

I guess the price should be according to the Gshock model that would be the basis for the design : the specific Gshock price + the added value of work and materials.

Yeah, I think it's too early to start naming prices. Besides, I'd be more than happy to pay 200 bucks for a WUS GWF-1000 (), wouldn't be so happy spending that same amount on a WUS DW-5600 though.

Model is critical to what I'd pay. Some models I won't even consider unless they are VERY cool and very well priced (6900 comes to mind).

+1 How do you put a price on something that doesn't exist yet?

    I concur ...

I too am unable to answer this question as the model which is to be used is still undecided. I feel that whatever model is chosen will be a big hit with the forum members as long as the prices are consistent to an average market value. As was stated above by Lester, I would be willing to spend a certain amount on one model that I would NOT be willing to spend on another & vice-versa. Like I said as long as the price for the piece is not excessive I am willing to spend whatever is asked for the piece & I can understand it being priced slightly more than the run of the mill, average G-SHOCK of the same model & series. I for one can't wait & am planning to get one FORSURE !!!

    Same boat for me.

Without knowing the model and color I couldn't say.

Some models I'd not buy, simply due to the module - while others are a lot more more interesting. And looks matters a lot too.
