What you think about the upcoming GW-810 series?

This model is already available for ~ 150 euro:

the other two models will have a suggested retail price of about 200 euro and should be available in october:

I think they don't have exactly the most beauty design ever, but the features are interesting: 5 band atomic solar, 24h countdown-timer ( ) and five alarms which can be set to any date. for those who seek an all-metal G they might be a really good alternative to other metal G's.

I dislike those little silver plastic rings squashed into the top of the face, and also the lack of date/day together display

Those photos look good, but in reality, not for me

    Ditto.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    hi ozzie,

i agree with you on the atomic rings, like I wrote many times before this is a waste of display space that could filled with something lot more useful (like date/day for instance).

but besides that, I believe the GW-810 series is one of the most (feature)advanced metal-g's, casio has made to date. I also like the dual tone of the GW-810BXD case and bracelet and the negative display of course. I admit, the more I look at 'em, the more I like 'em.... B-)

Calling on the G-SHOCK experts to tell a neophyte like me why I should (or shouldn't) buy one of these instead of the MI:III MTG Series.

    Hi Seamaster,

Considdering you present yourself as our G-Shock secret Agent :-D, you should choose the MI:III, but from my heart, I would go for a GW-810.

I think the bit compressed looking display gives it a tough appearence. I have (stil) very good eyes, so for me the visability is good enough. If you see those kids watching movies on their iPods... Then you need shar eyes...

    Cheers,

    Sjors
