    Oops, I was thinking about a a regular 7900, not the solar/atomic 7900. Nevermind.

    I doubt if it would survive the absence of light for 10 years.

    The poster might be asking how long it will remain functional in the absence of light, which would be around six months, depending on the state of charge when the lights went out.

    Casio quotes about 9 months life without light without power-saving enabled, from a fully charged state. If you enable power-saving, then I would think it would be considerably longer, though they don't quote a figure in the manual.
