What's the significance of "The G" designation?

the back of my new 5600 says "The G" and I have seen this before but i'm not sure what it means. Are all 5600s referred to this way, or does it refer to a certain characteristic?

    Hi Smittythepig,

When Casio introduced the Tough Solar Atomic models, these models were named "The G", so all G-Shock Waveceptor models, except for the Antman, are actually part of "The G" series.

    Cheers,

It has a nice ring to it. "The G". They could have Americanized the US version with "Da G".
