    What's up with the forum?

I've been seeing the "forum closed - undergoing maintenance" page for 95% of today. Is everyone else still getting that? I'm feeling that it's repeatable if I open/close it at different periods, but I haven't quite figured it out yet. I get in about once every 15 mins.

It fails in different browsers, so it's not that.

It's never happened until today. If I don't click on anything for about 5 mins, then it's dead.

I have to leave WUS, come back about 5 mins later, and then I can access it again. What's going on?

Edit - help :( It was just dead to me again between 21:40 and 21:50, when I constantly tried to reload it. Then I went downstairs to leave it alone for 5 mins, and now I can get back in.

Why is it kicking me off when I'm active on the forum, and only letting me in after I go quiet?

I've used multiple browsers. I've purged all caches. I can't believe that the site has been updating itself for well over 15 hours. Or has it?

It's just maintenance guys... it has to go offline whilst they back it up etc. I'm sure it will be orted within the next day or so.

I hope they don't change it too much!

Maybe. Seems odd though - I can now pretty much force it to put me offline by watching the forum for 5 mins, then I have to give it a 10 min break - lo and behold it's back!

I don't understand how my viewing habits can that accurately mimic the server's restart schedule.

I'll be off now, it's just driving me mental!

The forum has been updated to the latest version. We usually get a warning of maintenance work but didn't this time for some reason.

The forum has actually been working most of the time, but with interruptions. If you have been unlucky enough to try logging on during the interruptions you could easily think that it has has been off-line for longer.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

So is it still breaking? I'm still now getting 10 mins downtime every time I'm on for 5 mins.

No, it _is_ broken. Updating the software, dealing with server issues, who knows as it really doesn't matter . We must be patient and wait......
