Was my intention to have the first G-Shock, the decision is the old style but the maximum technology, GW-M5610. I think the modern classic. Not expensive but complete with solar charge and time sync.
    Take in consideration.

    Phone: Galaxy Note 4
    Watches: G-Shock GW-9400 Rangeman, GW-M5610
The best Casio G-Shock is the next one...

There are few on the forum... And on peoples wrists and drawers. But the thing is, first gshock from 1983 wasnt made in very large numbers, compared to 1990 models for example, it didnt sell well at the begining. Later with 5200 model, word got out that gshock watches are good watches worth buying.

The resin didn't hold up well on the one I bought in Tokyo in 1983:

But, luckily, the resin is easily replaced:

The module is built like tank, as long as it never experienced battery leak. The resin, in other hand...

Here's a wrist shot of mine:

The bezel and band are both reproduction pieces made in Brazil, not Casio made. The Casio bezels for these are long out of production and the ones that remain are going for war prices. This one actually had an original bezel when I bought it, but it had the tensile strength of a dried out chocolate bar and crumbled to bits in my pocket on the way home from where I bought it. It's a nice watch and works well. Apart from the resin, these watches have stood the test of time.

Yes but the watch without resin isnt a usable watch.
