    Where are all the GW5600J-1?

I have developed a craving for a G shock. I love the classic look, solar power, durability, and atomic accuracy of the GW5600J-1, but I can't find it anywhere for a reasonable price. Amazon used to have it for $60ish, but everywhere is $100 or out-of-stock now. Is this still tsunami related? Is the model being phased out? Is there a replacement? Are there any models with the features I like that are close (G shock or not)? For the design, I would move towards something more plain (like a Freestyle Shark) than something beefier looking like a mudman.

I'm not saying for a fact it's discontinued but the GW5600J-1 you're looking for is an older model with Wave Ceptor instead of Multi-Band 5 or 6. It will only sync with the transmitters in the US and in Japan.

It's been superseded by the GWM5600, which in turn is replaced by the GW-M5610.

All are currently difficult to find at retail prices :-)

I have 3 of these I bought years ago. Weird as I am STILL looking for the black display version of this to no avail. Was the black display Japanese version ever availaqble in the US for under $75?
