    Whiter Shade Of Pale

It is not unusual to see glossy white G Shocks these days. But this is a little different. Many of you will recognise this as the G-2000, but this is the 2001 Lovers incarnation and comes in 'Pearl White'.

So its not a glossy finish, more like an off white metallic finish. Those of you who own a Codename ADMA will know what I am talking about.

Anyway just picked up this retro beauty together with its Baby G counterpart (for the missus). I like it a lot - not just the colour. It's got a very nice weight to it despite not being very big. It's slightly bigger and chunkier than my DW-5700, wears a lot higher.

When Doug (FNJ) reiviewed this model on Youtube he seemed decidedly underwhelmed by it. I guess if you are used to wearing tidegraphs and solar and atomic technology then this is nothing special. But I am sad these G-2000s had such a short life span.

Oh, and somewhere out there is a Real Black G-2000 as well as a Dark Raven version. In fact if anyone has any other incarnation of this 'poor man's Frogman' - please show!

I think the G2000 is an underated classic basic 'G'.

One of the smaller 'G's but feels nice and chunky on the wrist.

    Here is 'The Bat'!

Came with it. But on Doug's review he says you can put DW-5600 face protectors on the G-2000.
