The best way to sell a small piece of metal is to sell it as strap keeper, profit margin is very high

Resin straps need thick quality resin keepers! I hate metal ones especially when I'm on patrol or slogging it out. I had one on my strap and got rid off it! For some reason I dont like any metal on my Gshocks and most of the guys in my unit all wear resin or NATO's on adapters, but I understand the full metal 5600 are stunning but not for me...

Never had an issue but recently bought a used Rangeman and the guy had added a resin keeper next to the metal one and it works and fits great.

Would like an option to add CF keepers to my CF Bezel models but very hard, I.possible, to source.

I don't hate the metal keepers, but I do prefer resin. On my GMW-B5000 I swapped out the metal keeper for a silicone one from a Barton Band I used on another watch. Right size, color, etc. And it was free since I bought the strap anyways.

The Barton strap came with two keepers, one has a 'peg' on the inside that fits in a hole on the end of the Barton strap, locking that keeper in place so it can't slide around. I left that keeper on the strap and removed the other one, I didn't need both.

Barton strap on another watch. It comes with two 'long' ends of the strap.

I like metal keepers. They keep their shape, dont become loose or twisted over time. Scratches... come on, it's a G shock, scratches are its scars of glory.

If you’re looking for a genuine Casio option to switch your GW-9400 strap to a resin keeper, this is one option:

    https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F233480711919

Highly rated seller, $15 shipped for a strap and keeper. There’s probably some way cheaper out there to get just a keeper, but this would be fire and forget, and you would have a spare strap.
its an obvious copy. gotta love the word play of "genuine rubber" to try and fool ppl into thinking its "geniune casio" instead lol
(and no ranger bands were released with a resin keeper and no branding)

$15 is pretty steep just to get a keeper from a band youll prob never need or use. better off just paying less than $3 for 4 keepers

The positive thing about metal keeps is that they can last forever, could be a family heirloom.

    LOL

It's like when your Casio watch is completely rotten, the keeper still shines.
