    Who's heard of this site:

    Hi everyone!

I started looking for a model, and can only seem to find it on watcharama.com, which is now watcharoo.co.uk (by reading the homepage of watcharama.com).

I can't pay by credit card or paypal. The price isn't a huge sum of money, but ever since I was swindled out of a $2400 watch...I'm understandibly leery of many things, no mater their cost. Searching this forum was the first thing I did, and that only lead to one member saying they had purchased from watcharama, and nothing turned up when I searched watcharoo. I have asked the member for input, but I also want to put out a public question.

I'd like to buy it, but here are some to me as a U.S. buyer:
    • Moneybookers members worldwide may use their credit card for purchases. I've never used moneybookers, and never heard of them (they seem to be UK based).
    • Official/Certified/Cashiers Cheques made payable to S Wilson
    • Wire Transfer (electronic transfer of funds). Transfer details provided on request with all charges paid by the sender.
    • Cash - either $US (after agreement) or £GBP. If paying by cash please ensure that funds are sent securely by an insured postage service. We cannot be held responsible for payments lost in the post due to inadequate insurance.
Can anybody help? Or at least confirm that I should stay away (as I'm planning to do the more I reread this post to edit it)?

Ewan (Wilson)the site owner, is a good guy; contact him before you send anything, and he'll respond to any and all questions.

He also writes good reviews of watches, in fact, his review of the Speedbird was the thing that started me off on this whole watch collecting thing.....he's cost me £1,000 's

Actually, my bad. The guy who runs that site is a good guy, I believe. I had it confused with something else. Sorry.

Yep. I posted a retraction just as you posted this. Had the site confused for another one. My bad.

Re: Who's heard of this site:

Aye, my intial reaction was to stay away. After chrisb's info that Ewan was on TZ.UK, I located him and he has many good/glowing references. I have sent him a PM to see how to proceed. I will make sure to post how this falls out.

And for those interested, here's the closest pic I could find quickly of what I lost. The only differences are mine had 18K bezel screws, pushers and tabs, but was on a Breitling leather band:
