Off topic Why does London observe DST, but GMT Time is in London?

    GMT is + 0, and London is + 1.

Is it because The United State observes DST?
The MTG is retired and the 5600 too. Right now, the only working G-Shocks that I use and enjoy are the Riseman GW9200-1 and the GW6900-1

If I can own a Rolex Submariner I would. I know they are tough too, their homages are tough. Trust me.

Re: Why does London observe DST, but GMT Time is in London?

DST comes and goes during the year. In summer usually

So if it's useful anywhere in the world, why wouldn't it be useful in summer in London too?

GMT/UTC is always what we expect, and DST is never applied to that. It just happens that London is at +/- 0 hours compared to GMT, except when DST is in force.

    We're definitely not copying Americans!

    time and date.com link

Another link. This one gives a brief account of the establishment of the Prime Meridian, but mostly about the book "Longitude" by Dava Sobel. "Longitude" is a great read, especially for watch enthusiasts.

    I am a proud American.

I know our politics can be confusing, but The United States as a whole doesn't mean any harm to the world.

I didn't know that. I remember reading a sci-fi book set in the future and the currency for the US in the book was called the New Yen.

You will be surprise how much the American people love the Japanese since the 80's.

Post World War 2 product control was inferior in Japan, but Japanese Industry improved over time, and alot of products are some the greatest in the world in Japan, like Casio, and Sony.
