Why the G-7900 is not a "professional"?

The G-7900 brings almost the best G-Shock features, why isn't it in the professional/master of G range ? Furthermore it has been in some rescue series.

The categories don't mean too much, to be honest.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Probably Casio didn't think of a name that would be suitable for it. The way I see it, it incorporates some design aspects of the Frogman with the functions of a Mudman and a Gulfman. So I'd say it could be called a Toughman or perhaps an Aquaman?

I'm with Tribe. These categories are just marketing fluff... completely meaningless to the owner. The watch is what it is, no matter what Casio decides to call it. They're all tough. They're all reasonably water resistant.

In all seriousness, Casio could have standardized on just 4 models for the standard G-Shock with a myriad of color choices on bands and bezels. The "playing around" with face changes over the years is just an exercise in revenue generation. And it seems to work--Casio is probably selling a lot more watches than if they stuck to a core set, because there are people who get bored of a design and want a "fresh look".
    In rotation: Citizen Attesa ATV53-2834, Eco Drives | Omega Seamaster | CASIO: TW-7000, MRG-220, RevMan, G-2000D, DW-5700ML, GW-9100 | Seiko SKA-413, SBPG001

Agreed with xevious and Tribe125, actually. Well apparently my sense of humor doesn't always work with everyone...

Which 4 models are you referring to, xevious? I assume they will not be the Masters of G lineup.

Personally I think the 7900 is the best looking G!
