Why are Gravity Defier models so expensive?

I have the standard stealthy G-Shock with negative black display and i wanted another G-Shock, but with analog hands only. Just to find out Gravity Defier models all cost around 400 EUR and more. I'm looking at solar and waveceptor ones... i'd really want to have one but i kinda find it a bit pricey for a "plastic" watch.

Is it because displaying info with analog hands requires more motors with lower power draw and precision and stuff taht makes it so much more expensive?
It doesn't matter how much the watch costs, it only matters if it makes your heart tick.

how about getting the gw-3000 or gw-3500 ?

and man, if you think of Gshock as plastic watches then even the dw-5600e is too expensive in the first place

    LOLz

Yup, the gw3000 is my all time analog fav. @$260.00 list price and lower on Amazon, not bad really.

I want one of those cool new analogs as well but I'm not paying €400. But to be fair, looking at pictures they do look a lot more premium then other models.
They have all sorts of stuff going on at the dial and the bezel and case is quite complicated as well.

Actually they aren't even that more expensive then the GW-9300 which looks a lot less premium. (although more then the average G-shock)

Only thing that i'd like from the Gravity Defier model is to have the day indicator listing all 7 days, not 3 of them and the rest are some dots. Along with solar and atomic stuff... btw, i'd prefer a composite bracelet over rubber strap. I have it on both G-Shock and Baby-G and i love the bracelet. It feels so much better than the rubber straps, And looks better as well.
