This week I bought an AL168WA.
It looks cool, retro and light.
But, as soon as I got it on my wrist, it looked like a toywatch. It strapped my hair, and the bezel was too tiny.
4 hours later I am wearing my DW56003 again. It is on my wrist, right now, and I like the way I feel it.
It's discrete enough, light, and offer a very good readability. I love its look and its style, and now I can understand what's its value: a basic G-Shock, maybe the only one with all the tru and usefull fucntions, with a first class electro luminescence in a tiny body.
I've been not wearing it for some hours, and now that it's back on my wrist I can appreciate its characteristics.
A Casio G-Shock can be basic or complex, we choose what we want, but once we use our watch daily we start feeling it, and after some time we know that even if Casio are economic watches, they offer us everything we really need (for me it's important alarm, electroluminescence and a '80s style), while other brands doesn't have these functions and ask for much more money.
I love my DW5600e, I think it will keep being on my wrist for a long time. It has the truly "G-Shock" spirit and origin in a very comfortable, light and excellent case.
