Speaking for Android 9 (the latest non beta Android), the Bluetooth auto sync breaks very easily and is a pain to fix. Casio supposedly fixing it but no word on when.

Why the lack of interest on GB-5600B/6900B/X6900B Bluetooth series?

I just acquired a GW-B5600 to fool around with. It is current production and works with the G-Shock Connected App.

Still figuring things out... Like how to sync with atomic clock (This is a Multi Band 6 model too.)

I'd love to test it! Where can I get your version of that app?
What are the features so far?

I am unable to post links, so please send me a PN for the download link.

It features the Gadgetbridge notification system (i.e. calls, texts ...), music control, clock sync (mandatory) and alarm configuration on the smartphone. Automatic reconnection works for me relatively reliably on Android Pie, but the same limitations as with Bluewatcher apply (i.e. it's simply incompatible with some mobile phones). The automatic reconnect is the most difficult feature to implement, so I'd be happy about any feedback.

NB: After the first connection, you need to manually disable and enable Bluetooth on your Casio watch to fully connect - the device is not initialized on first connect. Make sure that automatic BLE reconnect is enabled in Gadgetbridge settings for this to work.

If you encounter problems, please report them on the github bug tracker/

I've tested the version of Gadgetbridge from Andreas for half a day now, and so far it has been a very promising experience. If no major issues appears, I'll switch to Gadgetbridge permanently, and donate some money to the project.

The connection seams stable, but I won't know for sure before tomorrow when I'm back in the office where there is a lot of WIFI and Bluetooth noise. Time sync, alarms and notifications works, and finally we're able to control Spotify from the watch instead of Samsung Music However, reconnecting Bluetooth while the screen is off does not work for me, it did in Bluewatcher but not in G-Shock+.

Thank you very much Andreas and the other Gadgetbridge developers!

I tested it as well and had a major problem:
The app kills itself when I receive a call. The call is sent to the watch prior to the crash, but then it's dead and has to be started again manually.

I'll send Andreas some log files when I have my watch again in my hands (left it in the office...).

    Can you confirm this?

No coupling with the GB-6900B possible. Android 9, Motorola G6 Plus.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've just received one call after I read your post, but Gadgetbridge has not stopped. Also tried to simulate call using the debug menu, still no crashes. My phone is Galaxy S9 with Android 9, btw.

The call notification worked, but I forgot to test if double tapping the watch silences the phone. Hopefully I'll remember next time.

Did you check the official version or my testing version (since I didn't send you one, probably the official one). The pairing process has been improved and the changes have been accepted upstream, but it's going to take some days until a new official version is released.

Please send me a PN for the testing version.
