First: I'm not the developer of Gadgetbridge, since Gadgetbridge is a community-driven project. However, I'm the one who integrated support for the Casio GB-series into Gadgetbridge. My work is based on Bluewatcher and own reverse-engineering.

I would love to add support for more Casio watches, however, it's very difficult/tedious without access to a watch. I saw some references to the STB-1000 inside Bluewatcher's code, so it's definitely possible. If somebody can do the testing, I can try to add at least basic support.

One last thing: While there is a version of Gadgetbridge on Google Play, it's an unofficial version. Gadgetbridge is a pure Open Source app available via F-Droid only.

Also l would like to quote that both the stb-1000 and gb-6900b worked terrific on my previous phone (sony xperia z ultra lollipop 5.1) with a rock stable connection and if I would walk away from the phone, when I came back to it it would connect immediately. all that of course via bluewatcher. thats why l think that i'ts a an app related issue. the problem is that android pie is not compatible with bluewatcher.

Actually, it depends more on the Bluetooth stack than on the app. As mentioned a few pages back, some stacks send a disconnect signal when the connection breaks. This makes the watch think it was disconnected on purpose and never tries to reconnect. This is not fixable by an app, not even by an alternative ROM!

What I forgot in my previous post: WhatsApp notifications should work if you enable Generic Notification Support. However, this is a general Gadgetbridge topic and not watch-specific. You can find Gadgetbridge at https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge

I would be more than happy to test it if you could try to support it, and donate for your effort. I downloaded Gadgetbridge via a forum it's the latest version from what they wrote there. I tried it at my own risk, but to my surprise it works very well on my sony xperia 10 plus running pie. the connection is stable an notifications with id come very fast only the stb-1000 does not connect it pairs ok then freezes.

Please install it via F-Droid, that's the official way to install it and the only way it is supported. If you don't want to download F-Droid, the offical APK can be downloaded here: https://f-droid.org/packages/nodomai....gadgetbridge/
