Is this the metal or composite? I have about an 8” wrist and the metal I took out two links and the composite I took three and they fit fine.

    I do, I do
problem is, the size is proportionally right, but the small analogue display not good enough for my strained eyes
I have a Mudmaster and Seiko Tunas for size n sport n stuff
I rather fancied the shiny GMW5000 on sale
I fear it may be a tad too small - or a lot too small

Hi Si, have you spoken to JL about the bracelet issue as in the past I have found them super helpful?

It looks like JL is sold out of this model now, but for the future, it may be helpful to have this as a ripcord option:

You can buy just the bracelet from pacparts, take a few links from it, and then sell the remainder on eBay.

As far as I know, you can’t buy just a few links, but I imagine you could have a few links for $40 or $50 without much trouble.

£360 is a good price for a new one; haven't seen cheaper than that.
