    Question Will GW5600 replace DW5600E ?

With the GW5600 being sold in the USA, for almost the same price than the DW5600E, is casio going to stop the production of the good old DW5600E ?

Will casio release soon a GW5600 able to receive a signal in Europe, USA and Japan ?

I seriously doubt that Casio would discontinue the DW-5600e, just because of the GW-5600. They are very different watches.

With that said, I wouldn't feel bad if they discontinued the DW-5600, after making the G-5600 available everywhere. The G-5600 just seems like a natural evolution of the DW-5600.

I have to say I would feel bad. Casio should always make a low-cost / high performance battery model that has a direct link with the start of it all. That's the 5600E!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

It seems to me that discontinuing the DW-5600 would be a commercial and marketing error. It is the constant factor that connects the past and present of G-shock. Looking at some Japanese sites it looks to me that with all the different and limited versions of the DW-5600 it is still a model that sells pretty well. Cheap, basic and no rechargable battery problems.
In my opinion the best digital LCD watch on the market.
