Wow the clarity of the lcd looks amazing. Congrats on the mods, might have to try this hydro thing myself...

A little messy, but well worth it IMO. The difference is subtle on my 5600, but itis huge on my 002! I can't take my eyes off it and can't believe the difference in the clarity.

I've found that if you heat the oil first (40-50c), you will only get bubbles in the cooler weather. For example, I have done 3x hydro mods and the bubbles (pretty small) only begin to appear when the max daytime temps drop consistently below 20c for a few weeks (summer temps here can get in to the mid 40c's):

Great shots. I love the 7900! That may have been my mistake. I heated up the oil before putting it in the 5600. By the time I was done, it had obviously cooled and I forgot to reheat it before adding it to the 002. Right now I enjoy "manipulating" the little guy and watching it move to different parts of the screen, but I know I will get tired of it. I'll probably crack it open again next week and add a little more oil.

You basically made a temperature gauge in the watch after you made it in to hydro watch.
The MTG is retired and the 5600 too. Right now, the only working G-Shocks that I use and enjoy are the Riseman GW9200-1 and the GW6900-1

If I can own a Rolex Submariner I would. I know they are tough too, their homages are tough. Trust me.

    They both look nice.

Give the 5600 a little more time. The bubble in mine likes to hide and i rarely see it unless it gets cold.
