Back home... but at least I'm wearing the Green Earthwatch Rangeman

Watches are fun IF you don't take them seriously.
Too many watches for my signature... this is my SOTC thread on f71

Nah, my kids don't do that. Unfortunately kids today have no imagination, mine included.

When I was a kid from the age of 8 on up we were left to roam the neighborhood in a rolling gang of bicycles, build actual tree houses, play cowboy and indians, war, cops and robbers, all of it done with real BB guns at point blank range. We had sword fights with bamboo stalks cut from a wooded lot in our neighborhood. Those things leave marks:). Camp outs in back yards and other adventures.

During the summer or on weekends we were outside playing no later than 9am or earlier. We would eat snacks at one house, have lunch at another, another snack at another house and maybe break into smaller groups and eat dinner at a few different houses. We NEVER went home before the street lights came on unless our house was a "food" house.
There was always someone's Mom that would honk the car horn as they pulled into their driveway. That was our cue to head over their to unload the car of groceries and get a snack. When I finally came home after the streetlights were on, Mom and Dad would ask, "So what did you do today?" So we would sit around the dinner table talking about the day's adventures.

Sad really that families don't, won't, can't do that anymore. Kids and Twenty-somethings rely to much on tech for entertainment. And smartphones have manged to isolate everyone from each other, even when they are sitting next to each other. They'd go through with drawl if cut from their smartphones and actually "look up and around".

Sorry, went off on a tirade there for a moment.

This came in the mail earlier today so of course it's on the wrist. For $29 and some change I could not pass it up. I wish the 6900 series lcd was this open with the face of the watch. I am surprised how deep the module is down in the case. It is super legible from both wrists in terms of viewing angle. There really is no ghosting at all.
