Yet another 'is this legit? question - G-2000 question

Long story short, I was at work, on my phone (lol), saw this auction pop up, threw the seller an offer which was accepted. I've been looking for a G-2000 and fear I jumped a bit too quickly ;( The erroneous model number (GPW-2000 ??!?) aside , I'm unable to locate many other examples of this watch on the web. The only other example I've found that's even close is referred to as a 'blue jelly', shown here.

So, what say you ? Run, don't walk away from this one ?? TIA !

Know nothing about the model but those pictures...

Makes me suspicious when people go out of their way to take crap pictures, it would be easier to take a clear pic.

GPW-2000 What? That's a completely different beast (Gravitymaster).

I've had a 2000 before, and even with the blurry shots there, it does look like the real thing to my eye.

I can't find any reference to a blue jelly one though, it must be some special edition maybe?

Has the seller listed it with an exact model number or just G-2000?

I think it is the real deal

It has that Casio Auto EL symbol above the seconds. A fake would not have had that because it is a feature that not a lot of folks care about (or care to use on a non solar model)

Dayam, tell this fool to provide some better photos. My 4-year-old could do better with his Fisher-Price cam.

"When the shadow of the sash appeared in the curtains it was between seven and eight o'clock and then I was in time again, hearing the watch. It was Grandfather's and when Father gave it to me he said I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire.... I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you might forget it now and then for a moment and not spend all your breath trying to conquer it."

Re: Yet another 'is this legit? question - G-2000 question

Ok, I have two, and there is another gentlemen here has much deeper knowledge about this model
he is still around, I forgot his handle atm, hopefully he will say something
as far as I recall, I have never seen a jelly G-2000, but then, back in the days, most of G-collectors weren't into the screwback 2000
it maybe a limited release in Japan only, who knows
you should have asked for a clear picture of the screwback. Why? because back in the days, I have seen fake 2000 at the flea-market, and in the fake ones, there was no model number being engraved at the back ...

He got back to me and said it is engraved G-2000. I’m rolling the dice and will post pics when it arrives. Thanks all!
