    Yet more pics of G-7900

Thanks to the heads-up from fellow Singapore forumer GlennSim, i got my hands on the green/olive G-7900

I must say the olive is nicer in real life than pics. Not as green as the reverse G-9000 mudman but more muted... olive drab comes to mind.

    Some thoughts on this model:
    - It really is an offspring of a muddie & gulfie!
    - Moon phase, Tidegraph and strap like a gulfie with styling features near lugs
    - Dual stopwatch, dedicated light button and ruggedized buttons like the muddie
    - Wrist cuffs prevent strap from pinching skin and protects screws unlike the bumpy plastic cover of the muddie

Anyway, managed to get some pics to represent the colour as close as possible.. had to harness my photog skills, +1 stop exposure, WB correction, etc. Hope you like it

    Great mini-review!! Couple of questions,

    --What's dual about it?
--Does time of day display during stopwatch mode
    --Can it do auto-EL?

There's an auto EL indicator on the face of the watch (little blurry here but I've seen it in other images) so yes. And dual stopwatch is just like the Mudman (I figure), there are two separate stopwatches. I think the manual shows and another has posted that the local time shows in stopwatch mode until it's started then that section turns displays hours.

    That makes two of us!!

That green one is sweet. I was thinking of getting all but the red, now I may have to think about a green one, too.

    Good job, Sammy!

I have to admit that when I first read about the 7900 and saw the stock images, I did not find it very appealing. But now that I have seen your pictures it's starting to grow on me. That olive green one is my favorite so far. However, I'll definitely wait for the price to drop.

    Cheers

Natornate got it right on all counts

Also, it has a flash alarm where EL flashes when alarm goes off.
