    Your favorite solar atomic...????

Everyone needs a G-Shock in their collection for grab-n-go deliciousness.

I've been out of the G Shock loop for awhile and I'm looking for a new model. But so many new models have emerged since I last looked, it's hard to choose.

So if you had only one solar atomic to choose from for the ultimate grab-n-go watch, which would you pic?

I have no specific needs......and my budget is up to $1k

    Thanks.....

It's got to be the GWF-1000 series Frogs!

For me personally, the GW-5000. It is small, fits any occasion (except very formal), is built like a tank, has easily replaceable resin (same size as the widely available DW-5600E resin) and has a nice clean look. It is my most worn G-shock and the most frequently "grabbed" when I am rushing out the door in the morning.

Do you prefer analog or digital?

    There's a new blue Frogman coming out (GWF-1000NV) soon. I don't own a GWF-1000 but I'm sure they're nice.

The GW-5000 is also a top recommendation.
New GW-A1130-1A on the Analog side.

I like your use of the words "grab-n-go". That's what makes the Solar Atomics so nice. You don't have to fiddle with DST or manual adjusting.

One of my favorite Grab-n-Go Solar Atomics is the MTG-900/910. Recently CASIO updated them to Multiband 6 MTG-M900. Personally, I like the old single or dual-band version better. I've seen a silver base version at my local Walmart for something like $89.00. It's an excellent bang-for-the-buck Solar/Atomic G that you can really wear with anything. Won't get you anywhere near your 1K $ limit, but you'll have plenty of extra money to play with after!
I almost never wear any watch other than a G-Shock. My collection is listed here-->http://watchshock.com/collection/1471/

Other watches: Invicta Sub-Aqua Venom 5733 & Coalition Forces 0225, Suunto Vector, Traser Mil-G Type 6 P6600 Celebration Edition, Luminox 3059.SAR and a few cheap Timex & Armitron

I suggest one of the aviators, GW-A1000, I have the FC2 and it quickly became one of my favorite solar atomics!

I am very much enjoying my solar atomic Riseman right now.

Cheap as chips and comfortable on either wrist.

    Re: Your favorite solar atomic...????

Thanks guys. I currently have an old battery charged gulfman. It served me well but it's time to move on.

I really like the looks of the aviators but I've been disappointed in analog quartz watches because I can never get over the fact that the seconds hands are always off the minute markets. It drives me crazy!

I like the suggestions of the 5000 classic and frog. Maybe I'll wait for the new blue frog. Anyone have a pic?
