your most important outdoor device after G shock/pathfinder

yes..this device will come along hand in hand with your g-shock or pathfinder whenever you go for outdoor activities..

mine: Leatherman "skeletool", of course...always in its black nylon sheath, strapped to my belt.

They make me somewhat feel ready!

Depends on the activity, but if it involves any walking somewhere I'm not familiar with, a decent compass. Everywhere else, probably the iPhone.

A nice furry headband to keep my ears warm in the wind when I'm up a hill somewhere. I get earache otherwise

Several other things for me - Leatherman Micra, iPhone, Maglite torch, Ray Bans and a large flask of hot, strong tea

If it were a long hike, I usually take the bug-out-bag filled with essentials/basics...no electronic devices other than a celfone. I don't go outdoors like in the woods, on a fishing trip, camping, etc...etc... without the BOB or a slimmed-down in size version of it(the wife ....... that I look ready to be deployed somewhere, non-military here).

If this is an everyday thingy "besides the watch, what's the other most important device you bring with you?", then it's either a LM core or a SAK soldier.
