My new Airman 44 Bronze GL0166

My new (as of today) Airman 44 Bronze GL0166. (And I do believe, my new favorite watch...)

Great looking watch love the bronze editions. Will be a great one to play with different straps. Wear in good health.

Definitely my favorite too. I haven't taken this one off for more than a few hours since receiving it.I have 34 other watches and seldom wear them..except for my Airman 17 47mm and my Combat Golden Eye. Nicest and best running pieces I ever owned. Including Rolex. Let's see my old Rolex GMT keep 3 time zones. :).. I'm not good with stock OE straps .

Very nice. I just got the Bronze Tudor and love it. I've been looking at Glycine but hadn't considered the bronze, but I think now my decision is harder

I got that exact model a few months ago. When I got it, the appearance was rather coppery, but patina is developing nicely. I did add a bronze deployant clasp

which is rather nice. It even has a little tab on the buckle side of the strap that fills the notch for the tongue.

The more copper the higher the quality of bronze, is the rule. Patina develops quickly and looks beautiful. I used a Rose Gold deployant butterfly clasp that I already had in my box.. It looks nice and of course, like any other thing you see on your watch, no one really knows but you. I like that clasp you have but i'm not going to spend that kind of money for a clasp. I guess i'm too cheap. It wasn't necessary. When I can find one at a decent price I might go for it.

Nice! You should take pictures in better light so we can see that bronze better.

tockandroll, I took the first set of photos in the flush of "brand new watch excitement", in the evening just moments after first opening the package and setting the watch. Hopefully these daytime/daylight photos do a better job of showing the true appearance of the bronze... (BTW, my excitement over the watch still has not abated...)

Any pictures of how the oxidation is looking now, a couple months later?

Also... why am I having such a hard time finding a bronze/brown Airman?! It's almost as if the watch doesn't "really" exist in any quantity greater than 5. I have found a couple for sale for nearly $2k, and not much further info about them.

I would love to pick one up. Like... I NEED one. :)

Great looking watch, OP. I'm glad you are digging it.
