Problem with the Crown of my COMBAT SUB AQUARIUS

Just received the watch this morning, everything as expected and I can feel the quality from the finishing and weight.

BUT, when I unscrewed the crown and tried to set the time, it was the MOST Unpleasant experience and came all the nightmares.

I unscrewed the crown but couldn't pull it out, tried to screw it back again and pull, with a loud "click" I managed to pull one notch and it seemed it come to the end and I could adjust the time. Tried to push back one notch to set the date but just couldn't.

Tries few times of pull and push then managed to get the right notch to set the date but I could feel the very tight resistance when I wound it so finally I figured it out that I needed to slightly pull while turning the crown to set the date....

In a nutshell, not sure if it is my defective movement / crown tube that caused all the above troubles.

Please share your experience in case you have this GL0041 model or other divers by Glycine.

If anyone from Glycine is watching this, please educate me.

Not even a PRC made movement and model that I got from Seiko or Armida has issues like these..

Setting a watch requires shifting gears. Turning the crown slightly as one pulls out helps the gear teeth to mesh rather than butt.

Re: Problem with the Crown of my COMBAT SUB AQUARIUS

Though I own few dozens of mechanical watches, I admit that I know little about the mechanism. However, simply from an user point of view, I NEVER came across such a emotional distress process for just setting the time and date.

Neither did I need to slightly pull the crown to help the date gear to roll in place in all of my watches.

Just found out that their GL224 movement is actually ETA2824, then I think it shouldn't work like mine in any case.

Wrote to Glycine and see what they will reply.
