    Which <£3000 diver?

Got a decision to make coming up. Going to be able to buy a watch from Goldsmiths (it needs to be from here as I have points to go towards it) it is likely to be a diver as my current Christopher Ward C60 is having "issues" and will likely soon be replaced by the Damasko DA36 I am craving.

So which watch would you pick as a "forever" watch for my graduation from medical school. I might not pick any of these but they are up there. If you own any of them I would love to hear your experiences of the watch.

So to start my current collection will be thus:

Dress watch - Christopher Ward C5

    Pilots watch - Damasko DA36

    Diver?

    Tudor Pelagos

    Tudor Black Bay

    Omega Seamaster Professional 300m

    Breitling SOH 42mm

Apart from the first one of my C5 all pics are stolen from google images and thus Hodinkee and WUS members :)
That is about all the divers Goldsmiths offer in that price range.

Would be very interesting to hear what people think.

I'd go Black Bay or Pelagos. Because I'm horribly, horribly, biased in favor of Tudor.

In all seriousness, you can't go wrong with any watch there. Pick on their various aesthetic merits before anything else.

For what it's worth, on my particular wrist, the Black Bay and the Omega SMP felt most comfortable. The Pelagos was a close second. But the Breitling, as nice as it looked, didn't feel quite as good.
    Daily Rotation:
    Seiko
"Save the Ocean" Turtle; Tudor Black Bay; DOXA 1000T Project Aware (75/92); Seiko SKX013; Garmin Descent; Tissot PRS200

Go for the Black Bay - It looks the dog bits IMO.

If you have the Chris Ward C5 and the Damasko DA37 i'd say you have your ETA 2824 and 2836 bases covered. I personally wouldn't want another 2824 piece on top of that (even thought the Breitling and Tudor modify them). Also, I like the Pelagos but its monochrome colour scheme and toolish look may be too similar to the Damasko.

Out of your choices I'd go for the Omega SMP with its 2500 calibre, a lovely watch, with a great movement and perfect size.

For me it would be a toss-up between the midnight blue Black Bay and the Omega SMP.

I do agree the SMPc is rather stunning, and it sits perfect on my wrist for size and thickness. The only thing is I wonder how it will look in 20 years time, what will happen to the gloss dial and all the shiny bits.

Regular services from Omega will sort that out, and any watch will age with time. I wouldn't worry about what it will look like in 20yrs time

SMP or BB. Hard to pick between them but BB with bracelet and leather strap is very versatile
