    16m Lug watch - a search

Can anyone please point me toward a watch with 16mm lugs? The more mil type the better and vintage as a side qualifier.

I found a strap that was a must have, but did not realize the specs. The more research I did it became apparent that it was a once military issued item, but I am at a loss for watches.

Many thanks to those who view.

Best bet is vintage watches, I think.

Yes vintage. I had a 1940's JLC with 16mm lugs and 34mm case. I imagine Omega and others were similar at the time. Some cool military watches in that period, if you like that look.

Tank case watches usually have narrower lugs. (photo credit from cyberspace)

The MIL-W-46374 specifications have 16mm lugs, though most, if not all, are fixed. Marathon currently makes a number of watches to or based off of this standard. I have a hand wind (general purpose mechanical) from them that has 16mm fixed lugs. They are drilled through and I am 98% certain that I could break them and put a spring bar in if I really wanted. You might call/write them and see what they say.

The mil-spec was stellar advice. Started a whole new journey and area of interest. Thanks!
