I just bought this 1950 SEIKO Unique from a gentleman on the forums.
The gold flake dial made me keep going back and looking at it over and over, so I put myself out of my misery and bought it.
She's 34.5mm (without crown), surprisingly thin and light and extremely comfortable to wear. The stretchy, bendy, twist-o-matic bracelet is original and in very nice shape.
I especially enjoy the domed acrylic crystal (less paranoid about scratches, then again, she's 65 years old!).
I had been long looking at vintage pieces and just kind of assumed I'd get a '60s OMEGA something, but never bought anything. This watch won me over because I think it's beautiful, it is all-original, is in terrific shape and was serviced two weeks ago and is keeping super time.
Now I have no idea if I'll ever get the '60s OMEGA whatever, or if this will permanently scratch my vintage watch itch. I never can predict what I may or may not buy (it's no way to live, kids). All I know is, for the moment, I am very happy with my brand-new used SEIKO!
Thanks for looking!
