21mm strap suggestions for my newly acquired Orient GMT

The usual business, watch just arrived and already I'm thinking of how it will look on a strap . I do have tons of straps "on hand", for sure much more than I should but funny enough, after some trawling in my rather large boxes with straps and bits, cannot find any 21mm one. Lots of 22mm ones but I am quite a stickler to exactness and squeezing one of those in would wreak havoc on my OCD.

So the hunt starts for a new, 21mm strap. First, in terms of colors, I'm mainly looking for something dark brown or maybe black with blue stitching, or even some dark blue with light stitch...but I'm pretty much wide open to other suggestions as well. I was even eyeing a rally strap but on second thought it would probably look a bit garish ?

My first stop was watch-band-center since they have a good variety normally and since my current location is Europe, it ships fast to me and I bought from them in the past, they also have this near search by size feature so I looked as what they have in 21mm. I also looked at eBay, various Amazon site, mainly Amazon.de but have not yet found "the one" hence why I came to open this thread for further suggestion.

So what strap would you buy for this watch?

P.S. I'd rather keep the budget at $50 max for this so no genuine alligator stuff or other expensive ones, lets not kill off the purchase kitty fund completely too early in the year

P.P.S Excuse the generic pics, haven't had a change to take many myself and those I took with the phone don't show the colors too well.

I just picked up one of these for my 21mm lug'd FC Slimline moon phase, I think it'd complement your's perfectly.

That looks good indeed but the price is a bit steep, with shipping and VAT it would end up costing me over 100$ so no...

Whoops! Didn't see your price limit until now. There are a few IWC style straps on the web at 21mm, but I think the Taikonaut straps from strapcode are priced right for their quality (buckle and strap). I'd personally spend the extra $$$ for one of the Taikonauts.

Something like this might do the trick:

Found it on the bay for $59USD

Any more suggestions? I have difficulties trying to decide whether dark blue or dark brown might be a better choice of color for this particular watch...

I'd love to see it on a very casual, rugged (think somewhat distressed) dark brown strap, maybe with white or blue stiching.

Lol, but that seems to be my go-to strap suggestion for just about everything these days.

Thanks for that...I am trying to visualize :)

In the meantime, here are also some pics of the watch...all on ill-fitting 20 or 22mm straps, r more like just next to them since I did not hook the spring bars on, also too thin for this watch with the exception of the Hirsch Liberty that's nice&thick o, to maybe get some ideas by the colors of the straps. Two of them are dark blue, the gator look Hirsch and the perforated leather one that's 22mm and then there's the Hirsch Liberty and some other thinner Hirsch with darker stitching.

    My own comments:
    - dont really like the look of the sporty-white stitch one , it feels a bit too "loud" for the watch
    - I do like the look of the croc leather both the brown and the blue, probably a little more for the blue; wondering also how it might look on a dark blue croc print strap, with thin red/crimson stitching

Any suggestions, comments, will be highly appreciated :)
