    3,000th Post - SOTC

I figure my 3,000th post may as well be a state-of-the-collection. Finally down to four, none of which I had six months ago. The most recent changes were selling my IWC Le Petit Prince, and my longest lasting piece, my Intra-matic. They were replaced by a Rado Captain Cook and a JLC Reverso Grande Taille. Iíve toyed with swapping out the Farer for a Nomos, only time will tell.

Just for reference, this time last year my collection was a few Hamiltons and a couple Seikos. Two were quartz.

Iím happy Iíve gotten some pieces that should be long term keepers, and Iím very happy Iíve gotten my collection down to four. Really hoping to stick with one in/at least one out. I seem to have found my niche with vintage inspired pieces though. Itís been a good time so far. Hereís to 3,000 more.

Awesome collection! Wonder if your collection will be even remotely the same in another 3,000.

Based on my turnover rate so far, not likely. Iíve bought and sold something like thirty watches over the last year. Thereís always something new and shiny, and there are still a couple watches Iíve always had my eye on but never owned. The new non-LE Railmaster and the Bremont S301 always intrigued me for example.

Totally forgot to mention all the makes/models in my current collection. In the photo above they are:
    Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille
    Rado Captain Cook LE 37mm
    Farer Ponting GMT
    Omega Speedmaster FOIS

And if anybody happens to care, theyíre wearing JLC, EKStraps, Farer, and Bulang & Sons respectively.

Very nice collection. I like the variation you have and that you didn't just stick with one brand.
