    is 38.5 mm too small?

I have a 7.25" (18.4 cm) wrist and am contemplating purchasing a Sinn 356 Fleiger. My only concern is that it is a 38.5 mm size watch, whereas the smallest watch I own is 40 mm and I usually wear 44 mm Lum-tecs.

Do you think I will have an issue with this smaller sized watch?

I think you would get used to it if you wore it enough. 34 or 36 might be a bit small.
    Calm down.....It's just a watch....

    I do not think so...

My wrist is also 7.25" and I wear watches between 35-44 mm. It really depends on the watch itself.

    Good Luck,

    Bob

I just got a 38mm HMT pilot and it took less than a day to get used to it. Here's a wrist shot on my 7 1/2 in wrist.

38mm is probably the right size. With your wrists, I would be afraid of going above 42mm.

The 356 should fit fine; I have a 38.5mm 656L and with the thin bezel, even the smaller-diameter Sinns wear larger than the specs suggest.

Another option you can consider are the models from the new 358 Flieger lineup which are all housed in a brand-new 42mm case. I recently received my 358 Jubiläum and it's a terrific piece.

For the 356, were you looking at the black or copper dial? I think the copper dial 356 is a real looker.

That absolutely shame (and sham) of the current watch industry is that a watch the size the OP noted would be considered "small" in the first place. This is the silliness the TV watch sellers have wrought.
A good watch is a good watch, regardless of the size. Trust me, you'll be able to see it just fine.

    The mind boggles.

My wrist is bigger than yours, and I have a 40mm watch and really contemplated getting a 38mm. I tried on a 34mm, and that really was way too small. I think it'll be fine. I suggest finding a watch with similar specs to try on in real life before buying.
