Spent last week in NYC with my wife--bucket list. Ran across Joseph Edwards watch store at 5th avenue and 42nd Street across from NY Public Library. Ended up picking up TWO watches. New Seiko Prospex SRP655 and Luminox Coronado 3023. Seiko was $750----->$425 including tax. Luminox was $435------>$290 all in. I was actually buying the Seiko for a little less at Macys with their 30% off, plus an extra 15%, plus 20% if using their charge on two day sale, but during transaction I noticed a small scratch on the crystal and cancelled it. It's nice to be able to see before buying, and Joseph Edwards is fanatical about the condition of their pieces.
The Seiko came on dive rubber, but it was toooo long for my 6.75" wrist, so it's shown here on green maratac zulu. Have a Strapcode black silicone with red stitching inbound for it. I really liked the Luminox P38 and of course all of their Marine masters, spring drives etc., but not in the budget given the trip……;-( The owner, "Victor" was nice to work with. Appears to be a family staffed business. He indicated his main business was service, and he had a shop elsewhere with 11 watchmakers….
