    This or That?

Hi guys, i have finally narrowed down my choice to the above 2 watches after much discussion.

i understand that both these watches has different price point.
the oris retails for approximately US$1,850 and the longines US$3,300
my AD offers me 20% the retail price for these 2 watches.

if you were to take into consideration the looks of the watches, and also in terms of value-for-money, which would you pick and why?
(you have an incoming omega snoopy speedmaster as well)
    Thanks in advance.

Coming from someone with an out-of-control collection like myself, I'd go with the one that doesn't look like anything else in my rotation. Otherwise I'd go with the one that can be worn in multiple different occasions...

The Longines. The Oris unfortunately looks like 60% of the divers out there...

Both are good looking watches to me. The Longines has a more interesting movement and the monopusher is very cool. It will also do dress duty very well and might be more versatile. OTOH I find a rotating bezel more useful than a chronograph for the sort of short term timing that I do. And I love the dome on the Oris.

    So...buggered if I know.

Both nice watches. You should press the AD more, or shop around, 30% off is easy on both of them.

Tough one because they are very different watches. The Longines is dressier whilst the Oris is sportier. I used to like Chronographs so I would have said the Longines, if this was going back up to a year ago, but these days, I love my Dive Watches, so the Oris for ME if it were just between these two Watches. Plus, I have actually tried on this Oris watch and it is pretty cool. But it is up to YOU to try both on and see which watch you prefer. And when you have purchased it, wear it regularly, with pride!
