    Addictive this hobby isn't it?

Last September I went from not really wearing watches apart from the fashion one now and then to making the desicion that I wanted to get into watch collecting with the aim of hopefully passing them on to my son.

So in the five months since then I've went from none as all the fashion ones I've had are either lost or broken, to now having four not counting the GPS watch and I'm still looking to add more with hopefully the sarb 035 next and eventually look to add the grand Seiko snowflake when the funds allow.

So does everybody find this hobby addictive?

Cool Re: Addictive this hobby isn't it?

Addictive? No, there's nobody on here like that. I think you must be doing it wrong.

It is indeed... going on forums like this don't help either! Lots of enablers here ;) I went from 1 watch to 5 in about a year and a half.

Could be a lot worse, booze and drugs!!

At least if you drop a few $k on watches you still will have your health and some watches!!

Probably a load more ladies shoes and handbags as well though!!

    Bribes cost!!

If that’s a roundabout way of asking if I’ve bought a watch this week yet the answer’s no.

Totally addictive. My obsession does back and forth between watches and high end bicycles and I try to keep it to 2 of each at all times. So my rule is that if I'm going to scratch that itch for something new, one of my current items needs to go. My obsession is back to running hot with watches right now and I've got a third coming and one on the sales corner but I'm having second thoughts and may just end up with 3 watches - that is until late spring when my attention will turn to bicycles once again

If you would have told me a couple of years ago when I started doing this how many watches I would own or how much I would have spent on them, I would have NEVER believed you.....

Always take time to clean off the fingerprints. Makes a timepiece look much much nicer.
