    Adding to this trio?

Iím potentially thinking about moving away from an all black dialled collection and adding a lighter dial for a little variety, but Iím struggling to come up with a killer idea.

Hereís my current three (Iím giving my SKX to a friend):

    Name: 20426F74-5B15-4FEF-B9D7-B7EDE3502298.jpeg
Views: 204
Size: 2.40 MB

556 for daily wear (finally bought one back), Explorer for evenings and meetings, Speedy for weekends. None of these are up for trading as part of any addition. The addition would be to offer a general change up and variety.

My parameters are: white, silver, maybe blue dial; 36-40mm; GADA or maybe dressier; manual or auto; preferably a display case back.

Budget is very open - it is more about finding the right piece. Anything from a few hundred to £4000/$5000 maximum.

Iíve looked at the Seiko SARB035 on the cheaper end, Nomos Club and Orion in the middle, and a Grand Seiko or two and the OP 39 blue at the top.

My other idea is to track down a Black Bay Blue or Red ETA as I had a blue and regret selling it. Not sure that adds enough variety though.

    Any ideas?

    I would get a SARB035.

+Well proportioned case (length to height to lug ratio)
    +Design with lots of details
    +The finishing is really good
+100m WR and an exhibition case back

-Only drawback is the slow date change

Its one of the rare watches that can be described as "value"

Both the 33 and 35 are amazing value for the money. In this instance I suspect the OP is looking for a little more. May I suggest a Aqua Terra or Oyster Perpetual.
The current rotation: Orologi Calamai G50 MkIII, Omega Speedmaster automatic 3510-50, Omega Dynamic series III, Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 2504.80, Omega Seamaster 212.30.41, Omega Geneve F300 198.030 Hummer, Omega Seamaster F300 198.001 Hummer, Heuer Autavia chronograph, Eterna - Matic 1948 Chronometre, Tudor BB36 79500, Marathon TSAR medium, Pro Trek PRW3000-2, Seiko Alpinist SBQJ017 perpetual calendar GMT 8F56, JeanRichard Highlands 24004.

I’d definitely consider a SARB. I wish the SARX series were a little smaller than the 40.something they all seem to be.

I like the OP39 a lot, although is it different enough to the Explorer?

The AT is an option, although I looked hard but eventually passed on it in favour of the Explorer last year.

He has a German and 2 Swiss watches. They are all in different price categories. The 033 or 035 would have its own being the cheapest and is Japanese. It would make his collection even more balanced.
I already thought that he was going for something more expensive but I like the idea of having a collection that covers all price brackets and countries.

Very nicely-done Berty. A Snowflake (or any white/light-colored GS)? I think the OP39 would top this collection off perfectly.
I daresay I might hold onto the SKX for rough tasks?

Congrats on whichever you choose Berty, if your current collection is an indication, I think you'll make an excellent choice.

Thanks, big fan of your collection by the way. I’ve had a lot of flips and changes but I’m definitely getting better at finding keepers (so he says :) )

Love the Snowflake, but I think it’s priced too high
