    Administration of your Rotation

So many great and varied collections here, and I often see mention of wearing watches in rotation.

I'm curious to know how you all approach your rotations. Are you regimented about it? Just pick randomly in the morning? Something in-between?

Are your rotation habits reflective of your approach to organization in general?

Some watches have specific watches, the rest just happily jostle for general attention

No rhyme nor reason whatsoever to my choices. I grab whatever jumps out at me at that time, sometimes it's what one of my grand kids likes that day! I have a couple of out and out beater only type watches that I wear doing yard work ,etc but beyond that I really don't have specific purpose watches.

Depends on what I'm wearing, if I need water resistance and what the weather is like.

Same here. Won't wear a 30m WR dress watch on leather if it's supposed to rain all day for instance. Every now and then I'll pick out my watch the night before, but most of the time I just decide in the morning. Having said that, occasionally something stays on my wrist longer than anticipated. I woke up one morning recently to realize my C60 Trident literally hadn't left my wrist in almost 4 days (yes I sleep in my watches too--need the lume for when the kiddos wake me up at night!) and I had given no conscious thought to picking a watch in the previous mornings...very strange...

Me too, but then my rotation of clothes *is* administrated. Basically, unless I'm set on wearing something, which is rare, I start with the shirt that's the furthest right on the hanger/at the bottom of the closet, and I organise everything around it, including the watch.

More often than not the same watch stays on my wrist for months at a time then, with no rhyme or reason behind the decision, I switch watches; however, I eventually return to the "usual suspects" in the rotation - either PO or Submariner.
