advice on trade for a newcomer

I have a Hamilton field quartz and a glycine combat sub and I got a message from a friend asking if I’d trade both for a Tag Aquaracer WAF 1110. It’s about 9 years old and still has great lume and my glycine is pretty much 10/10 and the Hamilton 8/10. The tag is legit and comes with box but no papers. I’m still pretty new and need some help. Should I do it?

Depends on what you like. From a purely value stand point, I’d probably make that trade if I were you. But I don’t like those combat subs too tough, and I’m not a quartz fan.

It would be pretty much be a value trade. I’d most likely try to either sell after trading or trade again to expand my collection. I do like my Hamilton quartz tho because of the case size, but your right, it is a quartz and I would rather have an auto. But I guess I’m also asking if I do trade, what could I get for the tag on either trade value or outright

    I think it's a fair trade ($100 Hamilton + $250 Glycine) = $350 Tag (conservative estimate for these watches).

Do it if you like the Tag better than both of your watches. For me I would not since the Glycine has the same ETA 2824 movement as the Tag. It's the "TAG" name that is more popular / known to the general public.

Oh I didn’t know it had the same movement. I think you maybe right, it’s condition isn’t as good as either of my watches but I was hoping I would be able to make a little so I could possibly purchase a more expensive piece I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to at this time.

Nope I would not. That Tag is ugly as sin.

    Glad someone said it!

OP, do it if you like the watch or want to flip it. Otherwise, steer clear.

It would only be to flip, but do you think that movement is ...... now?

Or at least needs to be serviced once getting it in?
