I'm a law student soon to graduate and start articling at my top choice law firm. As a gift for graduating law school and everything else, my family has generously offered to buy me a watch as a present. I am a horology-fiend and have fallen in love with watches over the last year or so. I do have a decent knowledge base but am in no ways an expert, so I'm reaching out to the community for help!!!
I would love your opinion with respect to what watch to get! I've narrowed it down to the following:
-Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
-Breitling Superocean Heritage II 42
-IWC "Le Petit Prince" Pilot Watch Chronograph
I am open to other suggestions but would mainly love feedback, please, on the watches above. I love each watch in terms of how they look. I know the history and basic information of each watch. Each has their own appeal. In particular I love the history of the Speedmaster and aware of the commonly held belief that every man should own a manually winding speedmaster at some point. I find the Breitling fascinating because it is the first set of watches made since Tudor and Breitling came to an agreement to use each other's movements. So if I buy the superocean, it will be the first time it's released with a Tudor movement and wonder if that will have become a collectible item down the line.
Please help with this "tough" decision. Thanks so much.
