    'Affordable' Perpetual Calendar Mechanical Watch

    Hello All,

I have been trying to find an 'affordable' perpetual calendar mechanical watch - but I am having trouble finding anything even close to my budget.

Ideally, I am hoping to find a Swiss or German made, classic or sports watch, that will correct 30 and 31 day months (i.e. an annual calendar). I would really like to find a perpetual calendar (i.e. corrects for February and leap years) - but this seems impossible without spending a fortune.

My budget is flexible - but approximately US $5,000.

Any suggestions or advice would be gratefully received.

    Thanks,

    Toby.

Baume et Mercier sells an annual calendar that looks nice in your price range. Nivrel sells a perpetual calendar watch for $6000ish I think (also looks great). Both are outsourced movements with some sort of calendar module on them as I understand it.

Omega makes a really nice in house annual calendar, but I think you're going to need more like $6000-$7000 to get that one.

The MIH watch is a mono pusher chrono with an annual calendar module for around that price.

Not sure if this is what you mean. But orient has a perpetual calendar. For about. $125. Google it for details.

There are no mechanical perpetual calendars for $125.

This is my Baume and Mercier Hampton Annual Calendar.

They also have one in the Classima line.

Tissot also have a very affordable quartz perpetual calendar.

Here's a picture of one for reference. Technically just a multi-year calendar.

Those Baume et Mercier certainly look sharp. An underrated brand I think. If I had the bucks for a perpetual calendar, I think one of those would more than scratch the itch.

Thank you everyone for the excellent suggestions.

The Baume et Mercier are very nice - however I'm a real fan of the Omega Seamaster suggested by CitizenM (even though it is only an annual calendar). I am having a look into the best price I can find for the Omega - and will report back.

    Thanks very much again.

This raises a rather interesting question––what is the cheapest perpetual calendar watch with a mechanical movement?
