    Affordable watch

I'm new to watches really and I don't own any major pieces worth mentioning other than a couple of citizen watches. I would like to know what a quality watch would be in the 500 dollar range to start my collection. I am partial to the bauhaus style and some dress watches with a little bit of design on the face (nothing too crazy).
    Thanks guys.

There is an affordables sub forum.

Off the top of my head, I would check out Hamilton, Christopher Ward, Steinhart, and Seiko as they have all sorts of varieties of pieces. You did mention a dress watch, and at that range you could get a quality [Edit: Japanese] automatic from Orient, who has tons of different dressy models.

    Good luck!

It is so strange to see a post by "you" which I read as "me" and it contains exactly what I was going to say.

I was so confused. It read "You likes this" which I misread "You like this", to which I though "When did I like this? must have been an accident." and then procceded to unlike the post.. which actually made me like the post... nevermind. Another like to you (ilitig8) and You.

Orient is a Japanese watch manufacturer, so their products should be quality almost by default.

Allow me to suggest the Melbourne Watch Company. (No I'm not aligned, just an admirer)

Its a small selection, dressy, and in your price range. You can view the page in a few different currencies.
