After reading some of the more inane entries here tonight...

...(with all due respect), I have a few questions of my own that I'd like to ask the Forum, so what is the general consensus of opinion:

    1) Would ten minutes of self-abuse fully wind a Seiko 7s26 movement?

    2) Can you suggest a watch that meets the following requirements?
    Tourbillon movement
    Poincon de Geneve decoration
    Sapphire double-coated crystal
    Enamel dial
    Display back
    Platinum case
    Jeweled chatons with heat-blued screws
    Crocodile strap
Under $150 (ok, I could go $175 if absolutely necessary)

    3) If a home invasion occurred, and they gave you the choice of your watches or your wife's life, which would you choose, and why?

    4) Can I wear my Seadweller while living in my parents' damp basement?

    5) If you were a little boy, and your dead father's war buddy presented you with a pocket watch that your father had hidden in his rectum for several years during his captivity, would you wash it before winding it?

    6) Patek or Vostok? Betty or Veronica (trick question: they're the same except for their hair color)?

    7) Why do we drive on a parkway yet park on a driveway?

    1) Do you mean like punching yourself in the face? I reckon that would just about do it.

    2) I'm sure there is a watch in the Invicta inventory that would fit the bill.

    3) My wife, obviously.

    4) No, because it is not mildew-proof.

    5) l wouldn't wind it until it had been through a full and thorough service. Given that includes cleaning, it would negate my need to do so.

    6) Patek and Betty (blondes have more fun).

    7) Lobster is my favourite seafood.

    1) For a female, probably not.

I was trying to explain to one of my best friends who is a serious collector-- like, old phonographs and playing cards-- why watch collecting and watch collecting websites in particular seem to reach the depths of human insanity in a way few other hobbies can.

But it can be explained, so we have to start threads like this one.

    Well done.

    1 And then some...

2 To rich for my blood.

3 I'd ask them to give me a minute.

4 You can wear your Sea Dweller anywhere you damn well please.

5 I'd take it to a watch repair and tell them to clean it thoroughly and then clean it again and again.

    Then maybe.

6 I'd Schwarztkoff the Patek and Vostok.
    Veronica and Betty too...
