    Age of West End Watch Co??

    Hi Watch Gurus,

    Can anyone tell me the age of my newly aquired "West End Watch Co"
    Vintage West End Watch Co. Sowan Prima Automatic Day/Date Watch.
    Marked on the back of the case WEST END WATCH CO. K.4457 4332

    probably 70's -do not think it would be rare or of any great value as millions were produced for the Asian market .It's worth googling West End Watch Co - they have a very interesting back story -also i read once it was given that company name because its creator liked to visit London's West End district !!!

    Maybe a Noob question - but is the presence of the arrow on the back an indication that it was a UK MoD supplied watch - like my dad's Omega Seamaster (which I WILL get one day)
    Current watches in use:

    Omega Seamaster - 1960ish
    Seiko 5 (1988)
    Seiko Belmatic (1971)
    Vostok Komandirskie (199x bought new as USSR crumbled and these appeared in the UK)
    Ollech & Wajs Astro-Chron (Inherited from father-in-law)
    Poljot Aviator style constructed by third party from new parts
