    Alpina or Doxa

I have been thinking through my next watch purchase. Had four in mind now down to two. Started with PO, Sinn U1, Apina Reg. Av., and Doxa Shark. Now thinking of Apina or Doxa. I have an 81/2 inch wrist so size isn't an issue. I just haven't heard much about Apina.

Any thoughts on which to choose?

Sinn U 1 would be my first choice, followed by Stowa PD, followed by Mühle SAR, followed by other´s. Neither Alpina nor Doxa would be my (first) choice.

Why would you go with Sinn U1 over Alpina or Doxa? Looks, function, dependability?

I have both a Doxa, Sharkhunter Military Edition, and a Alpina Avalache Extreme Automatic. I love both watches. The Alpina is really big, 50mm across icluding the crown. Both are well built.

I at first wanted the Sinn U1, but never really liked the hands on it. If Sinn made an automatic that looked like the UX, I would have bought it immediately. The only Stowa that gets me going is the Marine Original, that watch is sweet, and is on my hit list.

What it always comes down to is what YOU like and what you want to spend.
