    Alternatives to Tudor BB36/Rolex Explorer?

    Around the Tudor's price range.

Omega Aqua Terra preowned is up there, I think. I also see the Grand Seiko SBGR051/53 as similar(ish).

Was drawn to the GS but the price tag and difficulty of obtaining below full price in the U.K. puts me off.

    Any other worthy contenders?

    Currently liking the BB36...

I am trying to build a 5 watch collection with this one as the top dog. One diver/beater (Seiko SKX007), 2 dress watches on leather (RW Maestros), looking at the basic Nomos Club for a manual, more casual and generally awesome watch. I then want something like the BB36 on bracelet for "best".

Any size preference in particular? Of those you mentioned I have both the Rolex Explorer and the SBGR051. They give a totally different vibe on wrist so I don't think they're interchangeable.

If a bigger size is ok then the Tudor Heritage Ranger is probably right up that alley as well. Not as "nice" as the Explorer of course but definitely looks the part as the good watch in your proposed collection.

But then again I'm biased...I have all three 😀

I have small wrists, somewhere between 6.75 and 7. 36 upwards but 38-40 is cool. The 42 SKX looks great but no huge lugs on that.

Omega Railmaster 36. Good luck if you decide to hunt one.
