    Always the bridesmaid....

It was the blue dial of the Tag Monaco Calibre 12 that got me back into watches almost two years ago now, I absolutely love that watch!

    But I don't have one.

Each time the funds have become available my eye has wandered and I've ended up with something else. Yet every time I see a picture of the Monaco, or see it in an AD's window, I think, wow it's so beautiful, I really want that watch, why have I never bought one!

So my question really is, do any of you have a piece that you really like, and keep meaning to pick up, but that always seems to lose out to something else when the opportunity arises?

The Speedmaster Professional and Rolex Explorer are both watches that I skipped over that I likely will return to down the line...

I've always wanted a Daytona TT and could own one by now, but no, there is forever another watch distracting me.

Oddly enough i have the explorer that I chose over a DJII and i just picked up a SMP instead of the sub I have wanted forever.

One of the reasons this has happened to you, to me and to many others is that a) we are exposed to new watches on WUS all the time and b) your tastes may change between your initial infatuation and your current situation.

Yes explorer 1 since forever. Love it but keep getting distracted.
Same thing was happening with Rolex OP 39mm in blue since it was released but finally pulled the trigger on it earlier this week.

I can completely relate to this, same watch, same situation.

Well I have bought "the watch" and it came up short of my expectations.. so keep looking and dreaming it will never come up short in your mind..

It's always been the Reverso. Absolutely love it... but I always tell myself they'll never discontinue the watch so I have time to pick up down the road. Sure, styling changes a bit but the fundamentally unique characteristics of the watch remains unchanged.
