TL/DR: If you had to pick 1-2 piece(s) to add to this collection, what would you add? Are there any pieces pictured that you’d ditch or focus on upgrading? What changes would you make, and why?

DETAILS: I like watches for specific purposes and I also prefer less over more, so I’m wondering if there is anything left for me after completing this collection. I own all the pieces pictures except the Reverso (which is coming) and the Datejust (which is up next after the Reverso).

The Sub and Speedy are my two tool watch grails and I don’t care to add any other high end Rolex or Omega sports watches as they’d take a backseat to these two, the SKX007 is my beater, the SKX009 is my pop of color as well as my favorite Pepsi and my beach/pool watch, the Hamilton was a family gift and is my main work watch and also my solution for a military-style field/flieger watch (I don’t care to add any more watches in either of those styles as they’d just take a backseat to the Khaki), the SARB035 is my light-dialed sports watch on bracelet, the vintage Longines satisfies my very minor vintage watch itch (not a big vintage guy), the Reverso will be my go-to smart casual/dress watch and is also a GMT on the reverse side, and the Datejust will be my nicer blue-dialed splash of color.

The SARB035 and vintage Longines aren’t necessarily keepers, but all the others are. Not interested in any Pateks, APs, etc as the value just isn’t there for me (the Reverso and Datejust will be my “nice” watches).

Curious to hear what others would add and/or change.

BTW: Not pictured is a blue Vostok Amphibia Scuba Dude and Vostok Classica, G-Shock DW5600, a few other digital quartz pieces and right now a Steinhart Pepsi GMT 39mm (which I’m thinking of selling because I never use the GMT function and rarely wear the watch as I always grab the SKX009 if I want to wear a Pepsi watch). Just a heads up as to the total scope of the collection.

This is quite subjective as it purely depends on taste. I could tell you the ones I like but what's the point in that.
My 2 cents would just be that you have 2 watches that are the same (SKX) - would you consider replacing one of them with a different one? Too many choices to mention though...

High-end high accuracy quartz with some color and/or personality. Obviously, a Grands Seiko or Credor quartz would be nice, but the new Junghans Mega lineup is pretty cool and worth a look. You could go vintage HAQ with a Girard Perregaux or even an AP RO quartz for fun. Your collection is very nice, if a touch conservative for how many pieces you have. Add some gold and weirdness!

If I had your collection, I would probably never wear any of the Seikos, the Longines, or the Hamilton, so they would all be subject to dismissal*. As far as what to add...I'd considering adding this:

    * - full disclosure, I have a Hamilton Khaki King that my wife bought me a dozen years ago. It was my "only" watch for a good long time and I'll never get rid of it. But I haven't even considered wearing it since I got my Sub....it just has no purpose now.

Very nice and comprehensive collection! If it were my collection I would be thinking of adding a more casual GMT or dual time. The Reverso is a wonderful watch but more on the formal side. Another thing to consider is a moonphase. Some people love them and others hate. I would be looking for something where the moonphase was the center of attraction instead od an added complication.

    Some colour would be good.

Perhaps a Red Grape Rolex Oyster Perpetual or an Olive Green Rolex Perpetual?

Or a Glashutte Original Sixties with a Green Dial, or another cool colour from that range?

You’ve got a nice collect there. Most of your bases have been covered, except for one hole IMO...you need a German.

Lots of great choices across the price spectrum. Laco, Archimede, Damasko, Hanhart, Union on the lower/mid end. Sinn is a fantastic choice. But for true “Made in Germany” watches you gotta go up the scale to Nomos, Glashütte Original and A. Lange & Sohne. Here a few ideas from my collection, past and present.
    Archimede Pilot Bronze
    Sinn 556
    Sinn 836 (in coming)
GO Senator Navigator Panorama Date (will never leave the collection)
    GO Senator Date Moonphase

Lots of great choices. Good luck resisting!

You are missing a pilot watch? And also a yacht watch, for example https://www.ulysse-nardin.com/produc...A8-1183-310-43

And I know you will not use it (since you don't have a use for the GMT) but a worltimer is probably the only unusual complication that is really really useful. The challenge would be to find a minimalist worldtimer... maybe some from GP or, less expensive, the Alpinas.

Do any of the Grand Seikos do anything for you? I think one of those would be a nice addition.
