Rolling eyes Am I an idiot for considering this?

Hi all, I kind of hate these type of threads but I guess I'll make one anyway. I am considering something.... would I be an idiot to get rid of this:

    in favor of this?

I really like the PAM for several reasons: 40mm, quick change straps, no screw down crown to strip / mess with, etc. I also really love my chrono but I find myself babying it too much and not finding a bunch of situations that I can wear it. Anyway, thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Pannies are a dime a dozen here in L.A.
I like things you don't see much.
That chrono is on my short list. Stunning in rose gold.
The Panny? Had a few months of fun with a Marina Militare and got it out of my system.

I would say keep the Omega....it's not a variation I have seen too often...the RG rocks!

I'm leaning towars the Omega, too. Now, if you were thinking about a Panerai chrono, that'd be a different story.

I gotta agree with CraigM. I just wish I had your dilemma! I'd take the Omega every day, but if you want a PAM, try an homage or RXW for a while to be sure. I like my RXW and it's a great watch, (and this is just my opinion) but the PAM is not in Omega's class. PAMs are nice but they are overpriced imho.

I like the Omega much better but I am a little biased since I have been drooling over that watch every time you post it.

I'm not a huge fan of chronographs, but I would still take the Omega over that Panerai. Keep it!

Re: Am I an idiot for considering this?

Thanks guys, I knew from the start it would be silly to get rid of that Omega; it's just too nice! I just wish there was another way other than saving for a looooong time to scratch that Panny itch . Anyway, I'm keeping the Omega and will look at other ways to get that Panny (other than selling any of my existing pieces - all of which I love). Thanks for your thoughts and responses! -Chad
