Question Am I supposed to cut this thing?

New to straps... this is my only one.

Im not sure if Im supposed to cut this at the clasp or am I supposed to let it wrap around inside the strap when wearing it?

Reason Im asking is.. 1) I have no idea how to cut this if there is a technique to it and 2) if you look at the inside of the clasp, where the strap goes through, it routes the strap to just behind the clasp... like its supposed to be fed through all the way.

I didnt want to cut it until I was certain Im supposed to.

    Thanks!

Any soft band watch I've had, I've never cut the band. I wouldn't recommend it but someone might have a reason for doing so.

No. Leave it like it is. You are "supposed to let it wrap around inside the strap when wearing it".

NO, NO, NO, don't cut it. The only option you may have had was to special order a shorter strap.
